Software-Defined Vehicle Fault Simulation & SiL Platform

Architected a 5-layer Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) platform using Rust, Python, and Eclipse SDV frameworks for real-time vehicle telemetry and digital-twin fault diagnosis. Integrated automated fault-injection testing into a Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, achieving sub-50ms 95th-percentile latency and throughput exceeding 300 messages per second.

Overview

Designed and built an end-to-end vehicular digital twin and fault-simulation ecosystem to validate fail-safe behavior in software-defined vehicles. The system couples real-time telemetry streaming with automated hardware/software fault scenarios to verify system resilience before physical deployment.

Key Features & Engineering

  • 5-Layer Architecture: Integrated Eclipse Kuksa, Eclipse Ditto, Zenoh, OpenSOVD, and openDuT to handle the entire lifecycle from vehicle telemetry and digital twin state-sync to diagnostic routing.
  • Automated Fault Injection: Simulated real-world failure states—including signal drops, voltage drops, and sensor threshold breaches—to evaluate automated recovery logic.
  • Microservices & Containerization: Developed modular Python and Rust microservices orchestrated via Docker Compose for reproducible, CLI-driven developer testing.
  • Continuous Testing & Benchmarking: Embedded automated test suites into a Jenkins CI/CD pipeline, maintaining a 95th-percentile latency under 50ms at 300+ msg/sec throughput.
  • Technical Documentation: Authored complete operational guides, API interface specifications, system architecture diagrams, and benchmark reports.
